GOOOOOOOOOD EVENING, and welcome to Who wants to be a fineinarire? Tonight we have 18 contestants selected last Sunday after the fight and they are..... Seriously, I don't think the AFL will see the event on Sunday as a positive influence on the general public and the image of the game. The bottom line is that 18 players involved in the 2nd Dust Up at the Dome suffered a grand total of $67 500 in fines.

9 players from each club were fined in the range of $1500 to $5000 on thier involvement. Here is the breakdown of each player's individual fines, plus the result of any other reports laid in the match.

LUKE DARCY: $5000 and cleared of making contact with an umpire.
RYAN HARGRAVE: $2000 ands a 3 week suspension for striking Heath Black.
NATHAN BROWN: $5000
BRAD JOHNSON: $4000
ROHAN SMITH: $4000
PAUL DIMATTINA: $3000
ROBERT MURPHY: $3000
SIMON GARLICK: $4000
JORDAN McMAHON: $4000

GRAND TOTAL: $34 000 (The Saints had to pay $33 500)

As for runner Jose Romero, the tribunal cleared him of a chrge of unecessarily interfering with an opposing player. On closer inspection of the video, Jose seemed to impede Nick Riewoldt's path to the melee, probably saving him from the list of those fined. Thankfully though, the while matter has been sorted out and the club can concentrate on getting a win against the team that wins on the road as often as the Bangladeshi cricket team, the Fremantle Dockers.
