Swisscom Mobile will be Sauber Petronas' official partner for telecommunications in the 2003 season. The mobile communications provider will be supplying the team with infrastructure tailored to the Formula 1 environment.
Urs Schäppi, Head of Connectivity Services at Swisscom Mobile, says "The collaboration between two major Swiss companies, which have acquired an outstanding reputation in the high-tech sector, will be particularly appealing to customers who share our enthusiasm for technology."
Team principal Peter Sauber adds "Swisscom Mobile and Sauber Petronas have common interests that complement each other in an excellent way, enabling both companies to benefit from a number of synergies."
Swisscom Mobile will be able to offer their clients various services in line with the company´s commitment throughout the season: Among others, there will be SMS and MMS services, providing regular updates on the latest Formula 1 and Sauber Petronas news to NATEL-clients. Additionally, starting in March, there will be a WAP service, realised in collaboration with Sauber Petronas and Ericsson.
