Sauber Petronas completed its second day of testing in Barcelona, at the Circuit de Catalunya today, with Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Nick Heidfeld once again taking the wheel of the 2002 spec C21.
Commenting on the test, Jacky Eeckelaert (Head of Vehicle Engineering) said "Once again, we were a victim of the bad weather today. This time it was thick fog, which prevented us running this morning. It lifted by lunchtime however, so we were able to get on with our program this afternoon with both drivers. Heinz-Harald Frentzen continued work on the aerodynamics, and Nick Heidfeld completed the damper development program that he began yesterday."
Long term driver Nick Heidfeld said "I felt a lot better today after a good sleep last night. I was comfortable running in the car. Weather permitting, Team Sauber Petronas will be able to complete the program tomorrow."
Sauber returnee Heinz-Harald Frentzen commented "It's always frustrating to be at a race track and not be able to drive, but once the fog lifted we were able to carry on with our program. Once again, the car was reliable and we had another productive afternoon."
