Heidfeld's got a new bird!

Sauber Petronas wheelman Nick Heidfeld had a wake up call while lapping the Barcelona circuit in the second day of testing. Travelling at around 140 mph (220 kph), Heidfeld suffered a bird strike directly on his helmet Commenting on the days events, Heidfeld said "My driving early this morning, was enlivened when a bird hit my helmet while I was travelling at 220 kilometres. All I heard was the noise, but I did not feel the impact. When I got back to the pits we found the bird and lots of feathers in the cockpit. I do not know what it is about the car, but Heinz-Harald Frentzen had a similar incident during testing at Silverstone last year. Luckily this time the bird was a lot smaller!"
