The Roughyeds face an in form Batley side, who are currently one place above them in the NFP. Oldham can expect a much tougher match than when the two sides met in the Buddies National Cup competition. On that occassion the Roughyeds totally outplayed Batley to win 40-16.
The Roughyeds could be boosted by the return of both Phil Farrell and Joey Hayes. Farrell has missed most of the season through and injury and Hayes has not played a first team game this season although he has played for Oldham's Alliance side. Anthony Gibbons and John Braddish are also expected to be included after recovering from injuries.
Sibson, Cowell, A Gibbons, Goddard, McNicholas, Barber,
Oldham will be without injured full-back Gavin Dodd, who has been so impressive throughout most of this season. Also on the casuality list is Anthony Murray was injured against his former club Barrow Border Raiders last week.
Expect to see Mark Sibson switch back to his prefered position of full-back, leaving a vacancy on the wing, which could be filled by either Will Cowell or Joey Hayes.
