This fixture finally got the go ahead and the Roughyeds beat non-league Sharlston 24-4. It was an unonvincing victory and Oldham never really seemed to play their best. The reward is a 3rd round match at home to Super League's Warrington Wolves, who thrashed Rochdale Hornets in the last round !
