Sunday 18/8/02 at Spotland KO 3:00pm. The Roughyeds face local rivals Rochdale, who are currently fourth in the NFP. Oldham's injury jinx continued at Mount Pleasent last week, when Keith Brennan, Lee Doran and Paul Norton all sustained serious injuries, in last weeks match against Batley Bulldogs..

ROUGHYEDS V HORNETS

For the second succesive weekend Oldham face another difficult away fixture, this time against local rivals Rochdale Hornets. Hornets are currently fourth in the NFP table and are some nine points above the Roughyeds, who go into this match very much as underdogs. However, as Oldham proved against Batley Bulldogs the top sides cannot afford to underestimate them and in fact the Roughyeds were extremly unlucky not to come away from Mount Pleasent with both points.

Oldham's growing injury crisis claimed another three victims in last Sunday's match against Batley Bulldogs, firstly Paul Norton picked up a neck injury that is likely to keep him out for the next few weeks. Then Keith Brennan and Lee Doran collided and both players sustained nasty head wounds. Brennan's chances of playing in this derby game are only rated as very slim, but ORLFC are confident that Doran should recover in time.
