Airdrie have made one voyage in to Europe where we played Sparta Prague in the European Cup Winners Cup, a competition that has now been done away with.

Airdrie made it in to Europe after being defeated by Rangers in the Scottish Cup of 1992 we lost (1 - 2) but it was the perfect end to a fantastic season.

The Airdrie team that played in the home match against Sparta Prague were:-

As it says above we finally lost the home leg by 1 goal to 0, a goal from SOPKO on the 89 minute dashing all of Airdrie's dreams.

Our attandance that day was around 7000 fans, but this section of the Stomp is not about the facts and figures of the match it is about your memories.
