Airdrie Vs Dundee Preview

Is this match this seasons grudge game? Maybe not from the teams point of view but the Airdrie fans feel there is a score to settle after the way Dundee FC have treated the travelling support attending Dens Park.

Airdrie refused to swap this match to Sunday after investigating whether the fans and businesses who had booked and paid for hospitality packages would be willing to move their arrangements to the Sunday, as well as the out cry from fans concerning the change of fixture it was decided that for the best interests of the club it would be better to keep the fixture as was originally arranged.

So tomorrows match comes with the added bite that a good fixture needs, unfortunately what wastes this potential great match is that both teams are sitting relatively safe in the middle of the division.

Sandy has two major injury concerns ahead of tomorrows match, Stephen McKeown has picked up an injury and will be given a late fitness test, Brian Prunty may not have recovered from his ankle injury that kept him out of last weeks match against St Johnstone. I don't know whether it was generally known but last week Brian McPhee played through the pain barrier and could also be rested this week.

In other news we see the return of Alan McManus his five match suspension is over and he is free to return to the team.

Could the injury concern for Stephen McKeown see a trialist training with the club at the moment given a start?

Kenny Clark has only taken charge of one of Airdrie's games this season and can anyone guess who it was against?

You guessed it Dundee, he took charge of the challenge cup match a 1-1 draw that we went on to lose on penalties. Barkey and Prunty were both booked during this fixture
