Saturdays cup game against Dundee may be the events that stir the heart and get your juices flowing but matches like Airdrie Vs Brechin are where the club really need our support. Three buses heading to Dundee on Tuesday and yet we struggle to take one to Brechin,

Sandy is once again without the suspended Alan McManus, Alan will return for the cup game on Tuesday. Is tomorrow's game against Brechin a must win, maybe not but it is much more than an end of season kick about. These games are all about pride now and getting as far up the league as we possibly can.

Opponents News

Ian Campbell is leading Brechin City back to the Bells First Division, will it still be Bells next season?, but they are not going without a fight.

Campbell has brought back Chris Templeman to the Brechin squad, Templeman at 6ft 5" played for Brechin between 2001 and 2004 scoring 56 goals in 118 appearances in the legue, no wonder their fans are happy to see him back again. Templeman has signed on loan from Morton for the rest of the season.

Brechin are also without Craig McEwan this week but have Scott Wilson, Kevin Byers and Darren Smith recovering  from injuries, David White returns from suspension

Ref Review Eddie Smith

This Season Games: 29 Yellow Cards: 72 Red Cards: 6
Last Season Games: 29 Yellow Cards: 72 Red Cards: 6

A new referee for us this season, Smith has not been seen at an Airdrie game since last season when he took control of two of our matches. The first was early in the season where me lost 1 - 0 against Queen of the South. The second saw us beat Raith Rovers 2 - 1.

We had two bookings during these games and both came against Queens

Prediction

After the six - nil demolition job last time Brechin will be out for vengeance but I can;t see why it shouldn't be another will for the Diamonds 2 - 0.
