Airdrie Vs Clyde match review
By Chris Mac
January 21 2006
The upcoming Airdrie Vs Clyde match could bring to an end a devastating week for the club, after last weeks success and and fantastic signing news this weeks has been worry and recrimination concerning our defence.

Today's match sees our defence missing in action Allan McManus id out as we all know after receiving two red cards and a five match ban from last weeks game. Neil McGoewn is ruled out with a Hamstring pull, estimates only place him on the side lines for a possible six weeks. Finally we have Stephen Docherty ruled out because he has to work, If this is the case Sandy should just let him go and struggle on with what he has.
We don't need people in the team we can't rely on!
So basically Airdrie are playing today with only two recognised first team defenders in Stephen McKenna and Paul Lovering.
It's going to be a struggle but it may be time for some of our fringe players to stand up and be counted.

Opponents News |
| Clyde have not escaped injury free over the past few weeks and Graham Roberts is Neil McGregor (Achilles tendon) and Steven Masterton (strained knee ligament) both players played for Clyde against St Johnstone last week with no ill effects but Roberts feels it would be pushing his chances to risk them again.
Stephen O’Donnell and Chris Higgins return to the Clyde squad for today's match. Paul McHale also returned to full training but the match today comes to soon for him. |

Ref Review Dougie McDonald |
|
|
Mixed concerns concerning Dougie McDonald the two games we have played with him managing the teams saw us lose one and win one. The first I put it down to the fact we were going through a terrible time, we lost 2 - 0 to Raith in the cup. Our final match with him in charge saw us beat Stranraer 1 - 0. |
|
Prediction |
| I would love to think at a time like this the team can pull together and force a decent result. Hoping for a draw but expecting a loss 2 -1 to clyde. |
