Arbroath -V- Airdrie preview 28/11/03

A one week break and a new signing has revived the hopes of the Airdrie faithful but has it restored the confidence of the team. Lets hope so.

Sandy Stewart takes the team to the beach this week end for our second game of the season against Arbroath, from reports we still do not have everyone fit. Up until Wednesday Alan Gow, Allan McManus David Dunn and Stephen McKeown had not trained. Alan Gow and Allan McManus have since made some recovery and trained yesterday but may not be match fit.

There are certain times during a season I feel it is difficult to take something from a game, in this case Arbroath are playing under caretaker manager Steve Kirk who will be out to try and keep his job for a long a time as possible.

The Arbroath players will also be trying to impress, it's these times players seem to try all the harder. They also will be using a new striker. Iain Diack of Albion Rovers has signed for them after playing as a trialist in the 2-0 loss to Hamilton last week.

Prediction:

As a few of the users of the site have said "it is getting harder and harder to predict our scores" however I feel we should win this one comfortably the addition of Owen Coyle , not to much pressure here, should be more then the difference between the teams. 2-0 win for Airdrie
