Top against second in the first division and we all know what this game means, simply put if we can't beat Livingston then we don't deserve to win the league and will always be competing for a play off spot. I'm not one who believes that if we lose today the league is over but if we can't beat Livingston the league is thiers for the taking. Both team have now gone 6 out of 7 games unbeaten and today for one of them is the turning point.
Prediction Legaue
After last weeks kick in the nuts the Airdrie fans competing in the prediction league have selected a home win for Livingston and when you're playing for points nothing else can be expected, we may all want Airdrie to win but expectations of a defeat when 70% of your first team are benched can have detrimental effect.

What's your prediction do you agree with the 39% who think we're on to a hiding this week?
Bit worried now. Away to Stranraer is always hard and also the Rovers. If we're being totally honest some players aren't good enough for the fight. Schmidt is pointless if he can't score a goal. Midfield not as good as many think. What do you guys think?
TW did say there would be a lot of bumps and grinds along the road...and on that we can all agree !!
Didn't manage today but from what I hear we were at it again...lumping high balls up to Lithgow & Chrichton
Being critical though..there has to be a review of the playing staff..some were brought in under the previous regime and are not good enough. Some new recruits are also required..that is stating the obvious.
So if Messrs Dalziel and Wilson can find time outwith their broadcasting duties..lets get some new blood into this team..decent quality of course.
Its fine to be close to the top of the league..but if these changes/additions are not made the situation could become.....critical !!
Not a lot between the teams in goal chances but they have a more composed and quick way of playing. When you think that they could take off their two best forwards and still bring on Cadden and Mullin while we rely on Leighton and Loudon(both of whom are good prospects) that tells you how far behind we are in squad terms.Thought we started quite well but when they scored it looked like a long day ahead. Never really offered much up front where Schmidt failed to show that he can challenge Ryan for a start. Nothing stuck with him even when it was not a pointless high ball. Brown was so light weight it gave no real pace/width. Curiously their missed chances ,especially Buchanan in first half, meant there was still a chance of stealing a point but Conroy twice failed to put in decent free kicks and indeed that was what caused the 2nd. A draw would have flattered us but there were good performances by Gorman/McIntosh who should be kept together for as long as possible. The wee guy Loudon put in a fair shift and might well replace Brown or Schmidt at Stranraer. Livingston will win the League unless they do a "Morton" from many years ago. Hard games coming up but we knew that anyway
