Prediction League Game 8 Alloa 1 Vs. 2 Airdrie

Airdrieonians FC confuses me we can't beat teams around about and below us and then we go out and beat Alloa the league leaders 2-1! Before the match more than 60% of Airdrie fans thought we were heading the Alloa to get beat so to come back with a victory shows we know nothing.  

So why are we so difficult to read, did the changes in team selection make a difference did the more vocal Gorman at the back make a difference? Is it playing at the Excelsour that's our problem? Alloa have an artificial surface so it shouldn't be that? Is it the attitude of the fans at home the problem, who until last Saturdays loss against Albion Rovers I think have been very patient. In the end we brought home three points which game me the first win in the predicition league for a long long time.

Airdrie lined up :- Ferguson, Stewart, Boateng, Fitzpatrick, MacDonald, Gorman, Brown, Leitch, Ryan, Schmidt, Conroy

So Gorman replaces Fitzpatrick in the back line, Fitzpatrick steps in to midfield and Schmidt replaced the suspended Russell.

Airdrie started of on the back foot and against the run of play until the 28th minute when a Fitzpatrick pass found Brown on the right whose cross found Ryan at the back post, who slammed the ball home to make it 1-0 to the Diamonds.

On the 52nd minute Conroy made it 2-0 to the visitors after his curling shot found the corner of the net.

Alloa hit back almost immediatley Grieg Spence raced on to a ball that split the defence and managed to lob Ferguson making it 1-2.

There is a change in lead at the top of the prediction league as The Man in Black charges to the top, followed by Chris Mac in second spot, Thunderbird drops back to 3rd.

Yes Fitz. played a pass more than four yards as he reminded one of our regular fans when Ryan scored!
