Fans are reacting to a post on facebook from Ex-Rangers and Scotland goal keeper Andy Goram the post "Spending your money from Airdrie sale mukka???" The above was posted on Jim Ballantynes facebook page.
We know nothing more, other than the Daily record are running with the story on Monday and are looking for comment.
Have you heard anything?
Do you now anything?
Personally I hear these stories every closed season so i'm a bit sceptical, we await official word and as we know that won't happen until the paper works complete.
Lets hope so maybe then the DDA will get there true recognisatuion in saving the club and Agee others instead of JB taking all the glory with the happy clappers he knoows how much he wiz short but has never alknolwledged these facts because it. Didn't suit his ego
Suspect this could be a non story, there seems to have been nothing since the email on Saturday which on reflection could just have been a bit of nonsense.I'm pretty sure if there was anything in it someone would have spilled the beans by now.

Texaco Fan Ooh, you got to give us more than that!
Apparently the name of the new owner was up on Facebook this morning but has been removed. It's all over Airdrieonians Facebook. Everyone is going daft trying to find out who it is. Someone's put up the correct initials. No one wants to say the name in case they jinx it.
That guy appears to be a big Rangers fan. Bad start! Better have plenty money!! At least he/they seem to have a general interest in the game, which can only be a positive.
This is either a massive wind up or some people who know something are not prepared to say. In particular, Glenmavis Diamond what was your post all about? If you have definite info, why not come out and say it?
A bit more detail on Pie and Bovril now naming the owner as Tom Wotherspoon under M&H Logistics. Paul Hetherington of the stadium company linked as well.
Lanarkshire businessman Tom Wotherspoon has today announced that he has bought a controlling interest in Airdrieonians FC.
The move will see M & H Logistics Managing Director Tom Wotherspoon installed as the new chairman of the ambitious League One club.
Wotherspoon’s M & H Logistics have consistently given significant cash backing to a variety of football clubs from the grassroots to the Premiership. Now they have thrown their weight behind Airdrieonians FC.
As he looked ahead to a new era at the Excelsior Tom said: “I’m thrilled to have this chance to develop and improve one of Scotland’s great football clubs both on and off the park.
“The Ballantyne family has shown great passion, dedication and knowledge in guiding Airdrieonians and we will lean on that heavily for the way ahead.
“I’m a football fan with a solid business background and my heart is always in projects that I feel support the game in the right way.
“I believe football can have such a positive influence on so many aspects of life, the club should be the beating heart of the community and that’s my aim for Airdrieonians.”
Last season M and H backed Premiership side Hamilton Accies, League Two club East Fife and BSC Glasgow in the Lowland League.
Now the company will back Gary Bollan’s side as they bid for promotion to the Championship in Scotland.
Chris Mac Colin Paterson has just tweeted that this is now a done deal.
"Confirmed Tom Wotherspoon has bought a controlling interest in @AirdrieoniansFC and will be the clubs New Chairman"
All sounds very promising was told recently that Ballantyne was desperate to get out. Would be interesting to find out what stake the Ballantynes still have in the club.
Indeed it does sound promising. Could be an exciting year
Also, all credit to the Ballantyne family. Getting to this new stage of ownership has been a struggle but overall they have done well by us and I hope they feel very proud, as well as feeling relieved that they have at last achieved an exit and no longer have to sink their family's wealth into the club
I`m a bit dense with business dealings. However, it seems mr. Wotherspoon has bought CONTROLLING interest in the club and is now chairman.
Does this mean that the Ballantynes are completely gone, or have they still a position(s) on the board, similar to the Ballantyne/Speirs arrangement. ?????

Sounds like the latter which may be because at the moment the new owners are not repaying the loans that the Ballantynes have made to the club. Anyway the key thing is that the new owner has control and seems enthusiastic
That would be good if they focus on only Airdrie.East Fife didn't to to well but maybe down to other reasons.buying a couple of players would be a novelty for us.sriker we had on loan from Motherwell was released he was okay.
