After reading the statement that some fans think it's accetable to accept relegation for financial reasons I shook my head in dismay. The more I think about it the more i realise the mixed signals that must be coming from the fans.

If you read the message board after a match some of our fans are almost suicidal every time we loss, when leaving matches the disgust at some of our performances has been there for all to see.

Then you read people saying that it's ok to be relegated this year because we may get one of the old infirm in the second division, when they get promoted!

So where do you stand? I for one don't want to read that anyone think's it's ok to fail, now i'm not saying anyone at the club players or directors feel this way, but if it comes across that the fans don't care why should the players?

If it's come to this then why bother why not simply just chuck it?

I started the thread regarding the getting relagated and get the Rangers money, So please tell me where I said I wanted the club to go down for money reasons, I was simply starting a debate after someone brought it up in a pub conversation.

So please read the post F''king right before accusing people of saying things they havent.Typical of this board,cant even have a discussion about anything without being shot down.

My own personal opinion is you must stay in the highest league possible regardless of whats on offer, was simply asking what does other people think and also what do you think the board were thinking.

my guess is we'll be relegated - not sure when the re-structure will happen, but knowing our luck we'll miss out on Rangers games.

Would like to add something, A question for everyone to answer,

After 1 win in 19 GAMES, do you think the board arent already thinking of relagation and the Rangers money just now??
If you think yes,does that not mean the Board are accepting failure?

Might not be directed at you Andy, I started a thread a few weeks ago saying I wanted us to be relegated. On hidsight I was a tad rash after a bad performance but I think others may share the view I had.

Just want to have a normal debate,nothing sinister in it.

Andy, FGAU it's not a shot at anyone it's a shot at the discussion that I've heard in more than one place I simply can't accept that being in the 2nd div chasing another playoff spot (if we're lucky) is preferable to being in the highest division possible.

If we get relegated after the players going out there and giving it there all then I would accept that and return next year (I'm a happy clapper after all). If I think for minute the club or players feel that relegation is acceptable without a fight then I won't be back no matter who we face next season.

It's all just getting a little bit frustrating.

Agreed - Relegation is failure. Winning 1 in 19 is abysymal. Im not a happy clapper but I do want to support the team and set up where I can - at the moment it's very difficult to be positive. A few young players that look like they might do okay is about all that can be said thats positive on a playing front and we arent in financial meltdown is all that can be said from the boardroom. Everything needs to improve.

Would like to see more games where we show some fight - like the PTFC game.

The whole idea of accepting relegation / failure to play Rangers twice is quite frankly disgusting. I would rather the Club folded tomorrow than accept defeat.

We should always try and punch above our weight and be as successful as we can given the resources we have at our disposal.

Lets add a little bit of prospective here, we wer promoted 2 weeks before the season started with a team that was built for the purpose of the 2nd division. I personally will never slag any player off that gives 100% for the jersey as thats all we can ask. I stated to several work colleagues at the start of the season if we won 6 games in the league this season i wouldbe happy with that as there is no way the team we had at the start of the season was built for this league.

if you want you can call me a happy clapper or blinded, but at the end of the day AS LONG AS THERES A TEAM ON THE PARK WEARING A DIAMOND I WILL BE SUPPORTING THEM!!!!!!!

i dont think the chairmain views it as failure. he gets two big pay days and gets to sit with his pals 4 times in a season. a big win for him.

Its probably a mute point...most if not all of us WANT to stay up but when you read the half year report and consider that Cowdenbeath look a much tighter outfit than us and that Dumbarton seem to have turned a corner and have experienced players due to return whilst we have been losing key players a lot of us seem resigned to us being the worst team in this league. I personally think we will finish 10th - so thoughts turn to next season already and my biggest hope for next season is that we can actually have a better playing budget based on increased gates from Rangers which might set us up longer term for returning to the First Division with a team actually capable of staying in it. Though being honest I think only a return to full-time football can re-establish the club at a First Division level.
