Think JB got the tactics just about right played 3 at the back with Bain and Grant playing wing backs. Frustrated Livi for most of the match though Ridgers did keep us in the match (again).

Lovers and Stallard were our best players though I think Craig has used up all the credit he received for his performance against Peterhead.

Craig was anonymous apart from one shot over the bar from 6 yds but you could say that about the majority of the team.

McCord created space and had a few good shots on target Stevenson had a good run and free kick that hit the crossbar. Lovers almost scored early on when his cross nearly sneaked in at the postage stamp.

The penalty was soft no players appealed and it was given by the linesman when it was clearly ball to hand.

Need to start taking points from teams around us .... starting on Sat!

McCord and Lovers played well. Craig was not involved.

Im surprised the winger Muir was not playing again. Injured?
He has a strike, pace and a cross that Gemmill can pounce on! We need this attacking presence.

I thought Boyle got his tactics wrong. Grant was playing more as a left sided midfielder and was terrible in the first half. He doesn't have the pace or skill to push forward. With him and Lovering together we were far to slow and it was from that side that both their goals came from.

Things weren't working out so at half time Boyle made a change but rather than a straight swap he shuffled the whole team about taking Bain off replacing him with Steven who went into left mid, moved Grant back to centre half & moved Stallard & Hill over one so that Hill ended up at right back. Hill looks ok at centre half but can't play full back and had a disaster of a second half.

I think Boyle has done a decent job but some of his decisions baffle me and this constant chopping and changing the team not to mention playing players out of position is doing nobody any good.

That said forgetting the problems at the back we did play some nice football going forward.

<> Played with Dundee Utd, Dumbarton and latterly Renfrew FC before going across the water to try his luck there.

One of the videos on youtube has him being interviewed over there and hoping it would be long term - he got a season with them (Kitsap Pumas) and scores a good goal in one of the videos ( v Washington Crossfire 2-0 win).

I wonder if he had a feeling of "deja vu" when we were playing Dumbarton recently - however he's still young and this gives him another chance to crack it again. <>

<> Just read in The East Kilbride News (he comes from Greenhills originally) that puts a different slant on my post above - he is over here till May, then will return to the Pumas for the start of their season to keep his fitness levels up.

But he is hoping that he impresses enough for Jimmy Boyle to give him a contract for 2011/2012.

Just watched the penalty incident again on Livi tv still dont see the handball over excited linesman who wants to be a referee ...... disgrace!

I tend to agree with this.
