Beith Vs Airdrie Replay confusion

By Stomp Admin
November 21 2010

Due to Beiths ground not having any flood lights the kick off time for Saturdays match has still to be decided.

I've been told the kick off time has changed and is still to be confirmed.

It switched from 2pm - 12:30pm between yesterday and today so still to be 100% confirmed.

Beiths ground also has a 2500 capacity.

I was thinking the 2 o'clock kick off was cutting it fine for extra time and pens especially if you had a lengthy period of injury time in either half.

I was told 1300 kick off time and that the capacity was 3000. Looks like it may not matter anyway if the referees do go through with their strike action.

Will be fun if refgate or weathergate gets the game put off.

It would be rescheduled for a midweek, during the day.

Big bit on Bieht site, about having to clean virtual all their ground , and get frost covers.

They expect 600 of us, ME THINKS NOT

It's been posted on facebook that we have referee cover for Sat, so game on unless the weather dictates otherwise.

The SFL website reports they only have referees for the Alba Cup Final and the Morton v Falkirk first div match. The STV website reports that Scottish Cup replays will go ahead, weather permitting, extra time and penalties if req though there is no news from the SFA who run the competition ....

This form the BBC:-

"It means that the full Scottish Premier League card of six games, one in Division One (which was selected by drawing lots), three Scottish Cup replays and the ALBA Challenge Cup final have survived, weather permitting".

It was my understanding that the same ref who officiated in the original tie had to do the replay. I take it they are now just making the rules up as they go along?

If it snows the police will cancel the game for crowd health and safety reasons irrespective if the pitch is playable all approaches and terracing must be clear

Don't the SFA do that anyway? After all, any organisation with george Peat at the head of it is in no position to discuss integrity
