January 27 2008

The Airdrie United Player of the Year is once again going to be held on the bank holiday Easter weekend, Sunday night as usual and once again we will be hosting the event in the Sir John Wilson town hall in Airdrie. The voting form is below and needs to be printed out and handed in to the Trust hatch, no online voting will be accepted.

Player of the Year voting form for season 2007 – 2008

All players are eligible for the Player of the year and young player of the year. The young player of the year has two boxes just in case it’s one of the younger players you want to choose as player of the year and another for young player of the year.

We would also like you to suggest someone for the fan of the year.

Players who are no longer with the club have been omitted.

So over the season so far you don't think one person has stood out over the others?

You don't think one player has improved enough that he deserves a little tick in a box?

Or do you base your point on watching them last night?

Dalziel gets my vote for the most negative poster on here this season and prob only goes to about 3 games a season!

Robbo most improved after some howlers last season Mckenna most consistant player, still cant pick a player of the year.

Yes, Waddel, but for all the wrong reasons. I'm not basing this on Monday nights performance but over the season so far (Monday was just the breaking point).

Think I'd vote for Russell he has been our best player by a country mile

good one; 3 games a season?? not even gonna rise to it;

the games i have been at this season i reserve the right to an opinion and mines is that of the above; we have the talent to be a good good side but i have accepted that we are going to be a brechin yo yo side at best from ehre on in

Come on Dalziel did you post none of them when you were in the huff.

I admit at times this season its not been great but the likes of Russell would be a worth winner so far.

i am only going on what i have seen this season mate; russell has been our best player and i admit robbo has been good but i still dont see any of them as being "player of the season";

question? has just admitted the same in the above post that he doesnt think he can pick a player of the year

Fair enough thats your opinion mate.

I think Russell would be in with a shout for 2nd div player of the year let alone our player of the year.

He has been destroying teams every week

haha re the spelling tongue sticking out smiley

i may be appearing negative at the moment but if you look at previous posts this season i have been full of nothing but support for the players but after monday night i am on a bit of a @#$%& regarding them! i didnt expect us to win but i did expect us to have a go which we didnt

from the games i have been at (more than 3 incase anyone is wondering) russell has been the best player; kevin macdonald and him are the only creative players we have
