Sandy Stewart relieved of duties at Airdrie

After four years in charge Sandy Stewart has been relieved of his duties as Airdrie United Manager, it's a shame when one of your hero's is reduced to being sacked but like most fans I feel it was time.

I think we will all agree that Sandy was a great servant for Airdrieonians and Airdrie United. As a player he led us to Scottish Cup finals as a manager to a new dawn, a promotion season and the challenge cup finals.

This is very difficult discussing the removal of a manager I genuingly had a lot of respect for, but as I said abive I feel the time is right.
