Leigh RMI v. Stafford Rangers preview

After three away games in succession within a week, RMI finally make their return to Hilton Park on Saturday when they face high-flying Stafford. After three fairly lengthy away trips that has seen RMI's young squad take in weeknight games in Lincolnshire and Derbyshire, not to mention the long trip to Kettering last weekend, it will be a big test of the resilience of Andy Nelson's side as they look not only to fight their way back up the table, but also combat any tiredness that may be creeping in.

While RMI were collecting just one point from a possible six with a 1-1 draw at Alfreton and 4-0 defeat to Kettering, today's opponents Stafford were comfortably accounting for both Redditch and Vauxhall Motors, defeating each of them 3-0 in Staffordshire.

With plenty of drizzle expected all afternoon, the Hilton Park pitch is sure to become particularly slippy, and the contest may well become a test of who can handle the conditions better, rather than who the better side is.

Don't forget that there will be a short meeting of the Leigh RMI Supporters Club in the Mick Martyn Bar immediately after the game.

Come on Leythers!
