Leigh RMI have announced the make-up of the new management team that they hope will take the club forward following the resignation last week of former manager Steve Bleasdale. Bleasdale left the club last week to take up the position of assistant manager to Mark Wright at Coca-Cola League outfit Peterborough United after the pair had previously worked together at Chester City, leaving RMI's directors with the prospect of finding their fourth manager in less than a year.

They didn't have to look afar though, and it was announced today that instead of looking for another 'outsider' that would potentially turn the club upside down once again, they have instead 'promoted from within', allowing Andy Nelson and Stuart Humphreys to take control of the first team after masterminding a successful season for the club's reserve team last season.

This is excellent news for the growing number of young players that are now starting to come through the club's excellent youth system, with several of them making their first team debuts towards the end of last season and hoping for an extended run in the first team in the Conference North this year.
