Leigh RMI manager Steve Bleasdale has completed his first signing of the pre-season with the capture of young striker Nick Rogan.
The 21-year old was recently released by Morecambe and despite only making a small number of Conference appearances, there was no shortage of admirers, with Bleasdale delighted to beat off several competitors for Rogan's signature.
Meanwhile, former Burscough full-back Geoff Underwood is soon to arrive at the club as a replacement for last season's captain and player of the year, Chris Lane, who is returning to former club Southport after their promotion to non-league's top flight.
Bleasdale is also looking to snap up the permanent transfer of centre back Chris Clarke, who was impressive towards the back end of last season during a spell on loan from Halifax Town, while defender Andy Roscoe has taken a pay-cut to stay at the club alongside Gareth Stoker, Lee Mulvaney, Neil Gibson, Michael Simpkins and Ben Jones.
