Centre-back suffers long-term injury

Leigh RMI manager Phil Starbuck has been dealt a huge blow as he builds up to the new Nationwide Conference season with the news that centre back Neil Durkin could be out of action for up to a year. RMI centre back Neil Durkin is set to be out of the game for around 12 months after suffering a bad injury to his knee. On behalf of Unofficial RMI Online, I'd like to wish Neil all the best for the future.

Meanwhile, RMI are set to face LDV Vans Trophy winners and fellow Lancashire outfit Blackpool in a friendly at Hilton Park on Saturday July 24th.
