Saturday afternoon is the day of destiny for both Leigh RMI and Hereford United, with the future of both clubs dependant on the outcome of the game come 4.45pm in Lancashire. Hereford have to win if they are to have any hope of winning the Nationwide Conference championship, with Chester City taking the title if the Bulls come away from Hilton Park with anything but the three points, while RMI have to win if they are to have any chance of survival, while hoping that Burton Albion do them a favour at relegation rivals Farnborough, while Hereford have similar hopes that Scarborough can cause an upset and win at the Deva against Chester. Should Chester draw, and Hereford lose, the championship race will also be over, while defeats for both would send the title to the Deva Stadium and consign Hereford to the play-offs.

If Leigh lose, or Farnborough win, or both draw, then the Hampshire club would pip the Railwaymen to twentieth place, although RMI would stay up if Barrow fail to get second place in the Unibond Premier League.

RMI boss Phil Starbuck is set to be without veteran former Bury and Manchester City defender Steve Redmond, although Chris McGrath, who went off injured in Monday's 1-0 home victory over Northwich Victoria, is set to return to the side, as is midfielder Paul Shepherd.

Bulls boss Graham Turner must choose between Michael Rose, who is back from suspension, and Simon Travis.
