Leigh RMI's on-loan goalkeeper James Salisbury has had his spell at Hilton Park cut short after being recalled by Wigan Athletic in order to cover for former Manchester United goalkeeper Gary Walsh for their home game with Wimbledon on Saturday. Salisbury is required because first choice goalkeeper John Filan is serving a suspension following his sending off against West Bromwich Albion, and Latics manager Paul Jewell requires a goalkeeper on the bench for their game with the Dons.

Salisbury featured in just one game for RMI, the 3-1 defeat at Shrewsbury Town which was televised live on Sky Sports, because regular goalkeeper Ian Martin was attending his brother's wedding in his hometown of Perth, Western Australia.
