If Leigh RMI are to have any chance of staying in the Nationwide Conference for next season then tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon's game at home to Burton Albion is one they simply have to win. RMI are sweating on the fitness of Paul Shepherd, who is suffering from a thigh strain, while Steve Redmond is facing a race against time to be fit for the game against the former club of RMI manager Phil Starbuck after limping off in Tuesday night's 2-1 home defeat to Gravesend & Northfleet.

If RMI fail to win then they will be cast adrift in twenty-first place and will be unlikely to catch up their rivals with only four games left after Saturday's game, so losing is certainly not an option.

The last time the sides met RMI were defeated by a heart-breaking winner deep in to injury time from Andrew Corbett, despite former Blackpool defender-cum-midfielder Wayne Maden equalising for RMI to level the scores at 2-2 with only five minutes remaining.

The visitors welcome back veteran defender Darren Wassall to their squad for the game tomorrow after the 35 year old recovered from the calf injury which ruled him out of the 4-1 midweek victory at RMI's relegation rivals Halifax Town.
