Former Sunderland and Swansea City striker Steve Brodie could be set to sign a longer deal with Leigh RMI, despite the expiration of his month long loan spell at Hilton Park.
Brodie has been impressive during his month at Hilton Park, scoring four goals in five games, and he has now been released by Nationwide Conference rivals Chester City following the expiration of his loan contract, opening the door for a more permanent move to Hilton Park, as RMI boss Phil Starbuck looks for re-inforcements to help RMI's 'great escape' from the Conference trap-door.
