RMI striker set to depart

RMI striker Marcus Hallows has been given the go-head by Leigh manager Mark Patterson to depart Hilton Park, with the former Bolton striker frustrated at the lack of games he has started since returning to the club from Stalybridge Celtic in the summer.

Hallows held talks with Patterson at the weekend and was consequently transfer listed after Hallows revealed he was unhappy at the lack of chances he has had in the RMI starting line-up since returning to Hilton Park from Unibond Premiership outfit Stalybridge Celtic only a matter of months ago. Hallows has now found himself further down the pecking order, with former Bolton striker Chris Downey signing on a free transfer.

If previous patterns are to be followed, then it is likely Hallows will team up either with former RMI manager Steve Waywell at Hyde United in the Unibond First Division, or return to Stalybridge Celtic and former RMI assistant manager Dave Miller at Bower Fold.
