Following last weekend's 2-1 home defeat to struggling Forest Green Rovers, Leigh RMI manager Mark Patterson promised changes would take place and new faces would arrive at Hilton Park. Today was another day of Patterson fulfilling his promise with yet more transfer activity taking place. Following hot on the heels of the three month loan signing of Bury midfielder Martyn Forrest and yesterday's signing of former Mansfield Town and Rotherham United midfielder Andy Roscoe, more changes have happened at Hilton Park.

Youngster Adam Lucas is departing, moving to the Unibond League to join last season's FA Trophy finalists Burscough on a month's loan. Also not staying will be Macclesfield Town duo Lee Hardy and Jamie Milligan, who were both on trial with the Railwaymen but failed to impress, with Hardy being substituted after just twenty five minutes of last weekend's game, and Milligan also being substituted only slightly later during the half time interval.

Arriving will be veteran former Oldham Athletic, Bury and Newcastle United goalkeeper Gary Kelly, with the former Republic of Ireland international joining on a free transfer to provide cover for number one goalkeeper Stuart Coburn and to provide competition for present number two goalkeeper Ian Martin for the substitute goalkeeper position.
