Former Leigh RMI striker Dino Maamria has re-signed for one of his former Conference clubs, though some may be relieved that that particular club isn't the Railwaymen of Leigh. Maamria, who left Hilton Park for Stevenage Borough last year after three years with RMI, has re-signed with Stevenage after receiving international clearance to once again sign on the dotted line at Broadhall Way.

Maamria had left 'Boro in the summer for a new life in the U.S.A. and a new career with Charleston Battery, a club formerly captained by ex-RMI and Bolton defender Nicky Spooner, but the move struggled to get off the ground and hasn't worked out despite spending the whole summer playing in the American league in which Charleston participate.

Maamria, who was somewhat of a frustrating fans' favourite during his time at Hilton Park and in many ways was a striker who you either loved or loathed, has received clearance to make his Stevenage comeback on Saturday afternoon when they are away to Exeter City. Stevenage manager Graham Westley, formerly of Farborough Town, said of Maamria that "His presence and goals will improve the squad".
