New assistant announced!

Leigh RMI have announced the successor to Mark Ward's position as assistant manager to Steve Waywell at the club. He is similar to Ward by the fact that he has played top level football and is a former RMI player.

Former Bolton Wanderers, Sheffield United and of course former RMI star Mark Patterson has returned to Hilton Park to fill the void left by former RMI team mate Ward.

Patterson has left a similar position at fellow Conference side Scarborough, where he sparked a revival at the East Yorkshire side upon his arrival. However, it is believed Patterson wanted to be closer to his North West home and jumped at the chance of returning to Leigh.
