Barely 48 hours after their New Years Day defeat at AFC Fylde, Leigh Genesis are back in action on Bank Holiday Monday afternoon (3rd January) when Wakefield are the visitors to Crilly Park for a 3pm kick off.

Wakefield make the trip across the Pennines in twenty first position in the Evo-Stik League First Division North and only six points ahead of Leigh, with Alan Kershaw's side desperate for a victory to close the gap on the sides currently ahead of them.

The two sides last met in August when the hosts ran out 3-0 victors against a Leigh side who finished with ten men after the sending off of Kieran Molyneux for two bookable offences, while Wakefield's last outing brought a 1-1 draw with local rivals Ossett Albion.

Although it is hoped that the game should go ahead without any weather-related issues, freezing temperatures have been forecasted for Sunday night and as such supporters are advised to consult the club's official website at www.leighgenesis.com for the latest news before travelling to the game.

Admission costs £7 for adults, £5 for over 65's and students and just £2 for under 18's with season tickets valid for use as normal for the 3pm kick off.

Please note that due to printing deadlines over the festive period, the programmes for this fixture are something of an emergency issue and as such will be sold at the reduced price of £1 each, with the normal full-colour programmes returning in time for the next home game against Witton Albion on Tuesday 11th January 2011 (7.45pm kick off).
