Leigh Genesis have been handed an away tie against league rivals Curzon Ashton in the draw for the Evo-Stik League Challenge Cup First Round.

The two sides last met as recently as the opening day of this season when Curzon came from a goal behind to win 2-1 at Crilly Park, with Curzon winning by the same scoreline on Leigh's last visit to the Tameside Stadium in a league fixture in August 2009.

Leigh won through to the Second Round of last year's League Cup competition, losing 4-0 away to Mossley in the Second Round having hammered Warrington Town 6-1 in the First Round.

The First Round tie will take place at Curzon's Tameside Stadium home on Monday 11th October 2010 with a 7.45pm kick off.
