Leigh Genesis vs. Garforth Town preview

Leigh Genesis have an immediate chance to redeem themselves after Saturday’s disappointing 4-1 defeat at Trafford when they welcome Yorkshire outfit Garforth Town to Crilly Park on Tuesday evening.

With only an FA Cup victory over Runcorn Linnets to show for their efforts so far this season, Maddox's side are bottom of the Evo-Stik League Division One North table, and take on a Garforth Town side who have fared little better, collecting just one point from their opening four league games, including a 6-2 home thrashing by Harrogate Railway Athletic, while they were unceremoniously dumped out of the FA Cup at the first hurdle by Tadcaster Albion.

Leigh's last home fixture against Garforth came just over a year ago when a goal in each half from Jordan Stepien and Chris Baguley sealed a 2-1 win at the Leigh Sports Village Stadium.

Genesis boss Mark Maddox has a full squad to choose from for Tuesday‘s meeting, with Adam Judge expected to return in goal after youngster Denis Barlow deputised in goal for him at Shawe View in a game that saw Paul Williams and John Lawless both make successful comebacks from recent injuries, while giant trickster Tom Obasi made his league debut as a second half substitute.

Tuesday's fixture kicks off at 7.45pm at Crilly Park, with admission costing £7 for adults, £5 for over 65's and students and just £2 for under 18's, with season tickets valid for use as normal.

Cant make the game tomorrow or Rossendale away in the cup, but will be getting a train from Lancaster for the Wire match.With an holdall in tow.
