The build up to the opening weekend of the Evo-Stik League Division One North season has continued with Leigh Genesis confirming the first four of several new signings ahead of Saturday's game with Curzon Ashton at Crilly Park.

First to sign is twenty three year old goalkeeper Adam Judge, who played under Maddox for Formby in last season's Evo-Stik Premier League and has made several friendly appearances over the summer.

Next to join is twenty four year old left-sided player Paul Williams, who has appeared at both left back and on the left hand side of midfield during the pre-season campaign, culminating in a stunning winning goal with a thirty yard flighted effort in the 1-0 win away to Cyrmu Alliance side Cefn Druids earlier this month.

Another to sign is twenty four year old striker Mick Vernon, who has been a prolific performer during pre-season, finding himself on the scoresheet with a scorching half-volley in the 3-3 draw with Chadderton and heading home Leigh's first goal in their 2-1 win away to Silsden.

Vernon isn't the only pre-season goalscorer to join the club, with twenty one year old forward Nick Eastham also joining the club having scored in the 2-1 pre-season win over West Cheshire League side Newton.
