Coaching assistant appointed

Mark Maddox's backroom staff is continuing to fall in to place with the appointment of a new coaching assistant at Crilly Park.

24 year old Richard Ward has joined the club to fill in the position vacated by Jonathan Gains' departure to rivals Chorley earlier in the summer.

Ward is particularly highly-qualified for position, holding a MSc and BSc (HONS) in Sports Psychology along with an FA Level 2 coaching badge, with work ongoing to achieve a UEFA B Licence by the end of October this year.

Well he seems to have enough qualifications as it is...wouldn't surprise me if he is a qualified ref as well!

well our backroom staff certainly have all the right qualifications so the players are gonna gain alot from them

Would certainly hope so - can't imagine there are many staff in this league with a degree in Sports Pyschology!
