Despite the freezing conditions putting paid to several of his side's recent fixtures, Leigh Genesis boss Garry Flitcroft has kept himself busy with the signing of former Stockport County striker Richard Ratcliffe.
The nineteen year old has been training with the club recently and did enough to impress Flitcroft and assistant Mike Quigley and earn himself a permanent deal with the club.
A hard working player with a powerful strike, Ratcliffe certainly fits the bill as a traditional centre forward will be looking to earn himself a first team place.
Having began his career with Stockport County, Ratcliffe recently had a spell in Sweden with Ytterhogdals IK, with the signing delayed until international clearance was recently obtained, with Ratcliffe seemingly bringing the Swedish weather back home with him!
