MATT CARLISLE

Bolton-born Matthew Carlisle joined Leigh Genesis on 22nd September 2009 after spending two years as a scholar in Bolton Wanderers Academy, playing both in defence and midfield.

Carlisle made his Leigh Genesis debut in the 6-1 UniBond League Challenge Cup First Round win over Warrington Town at the Leigh Sports Village Stadium on 23rd September 2009, playing at left back, centre back and left midfield during the course of the game. His league debut arrived as a substitute in the 2-0 win over Trafford at the Leigh Sports Village Stadium on Saturday 7th November 2009.
