Gbemie joins Genesis ranks

Leigh Genesis boss Garry Flitcroft has boosted his ranks ahead of Saturday’s testing away trip at FC Halifax Town with the signing of former Bolton Wanderers Academy player David Gbemie.

Liberian-born Gbemie made numerous appearances for Bolton's reserve side last season whilst also spending a period in the Conference North on loan at Burscough, playing in defence alongside ex-Leigh players Jonathan Goulding and Josh Wilson at the same time that current Genesis striker Jordan Stepien was at Victoria Park.

The nineteen year old, who is comfortably both in defence and midfield, goes straight in to the squad that visits Halifax on Saturday.

On the fringes of the Liberia squad from what I've read elsewhere, think he played at right back for the Wanderers so should be some good cover.

Sounds like a spiffing edition to the squad. Hope he speaks more of the queens than G.Dhal apparantly does

He's lived in the UK since he was 11 and was with Bolton from 13 upwards so shouldn't be a problem.
