Genesis-Latics fixture switched

Leigh Genesis’ upcoming pre-season game with Premier League neighbours Wigan Athletic has been re-arranged from Saturday 8th August to now take place on Tuesday 11th August with a 7.45pm kick off.

The date has been changed to avoid a fixture clash with Wigan's scheduled first team game against UD Almeria at the DW Stadium, and as such hopes are high that Wigan may be able to match the mammoth support that was brought to the Leigh Sports Village Stadium by their rivals Bolton Wanderers earlier this week.

Any tickets that have been purchased for the original date will be valid for the re-arranged fixture, with tickets on sale now for this ‘Battle of the Borough' from the Leigh Sports Village Stadium Ticket Office, priced at £6 for adults, £4 for over 65's and full time students, £2 for under 18's and just £1 for Leigh Genesis Juniors members.
