The upcoming UniBond Premier League game with Kendal Town has been confirmed as taking place at Ashton United's Hurst Cross ground this coming Tuesday (17th February) with a 7:45pm kick off.

With the original "partnership" terms with the Leigh Sports Village Stadium failing to be applied, and the club still to finalise new investors, the club have unfortunately been forced to look for alternative venues as, quite simply, they cannot afford to pay the 'commercial rates' demanded by the Leigh Sports Village Stadium Company.

Leigh Genesis Commercial Manager Donna Middleton said "It's clearly disappointing that having just begun to get settled playing games back in Leigh we now have to play away from home again. As a club with very little income, when faced with the choice of paying commercial rates for ground hire at the LSV or hiring a ground at much cheaper rates elsewhere, we really had no option"

"We are so sorry for any supporters for who this may cause travel problems, but financially we just aren't in a position to continue playing in the new ground until such a time the original deal is back in force, which we sincerely hope and expect to be in the very near future"

Normal admission prices of £8 adults for adults, £5 for senior citizens and students and just £2 for under 18's will apply, with season tickets valid for use on the turnstiles at Hurst Cross.

Should you be struggling to get to the game, lift shares will be available via this website's message forum.
