After heavy snowfall put paid to Leigh Genesis' plan to face Atherton Collieries on Tuesday night, the melting snow has now meant that the Stainton Park pitch is unplayable and as such tonight's scheduled attempt has been postponed after a pitch inspection. This evening's postponement is no less than the sixth time that this fixture has been postponed, with the two sides to try again at Radcliffe Borough's Stainton Park home next Wednesday (10th December).
Leigh's next fixture, weather permitting, is a UniBond League Challenge Cup tie away to Ashton United on Saturday in what would be Leigh's first game in three weeks.
