After a heroic second half defensive effort helped RMI end their Holker Street hoodoo with a 2-1 victory at Barrow on Tuesday evening, they are back on the road on Saturday afternoon as they look to maintain their unbeaten start to the season when they visit Redditch United.

With Tuesday's victory at Barrow following hot on the heels of the opening day 2-2 draw with Hinckley United, play-off finalists of last season, RMI find themselves just outside the play-off zone after their unbeaten start to the season.

In the past, Redditch have generally found themselves in the list of sides that are ranked as perennial strugglers against relegation, but that line of thinking might slowly be changing after Redditch helped themselves to a 3-1 victory over Tamworth on Tuesday evening, with the former Conference National outfit touted as one of the bookies' favourites for the season, only to have their confidence seriously dented with the defeat at the Valley Stadium.

The preparations of Leigh boss Stuart Humphreys have been hampered by the knee  injury to left back Owen Roberts that was sustained in the first half at Holker Street, although the availability of Steve Brockley and Andy Roscoe at left back should ensure ample cover can be provided, while Andy Heald can also play at full back, should Humphreys wish to hand a starting place to winger Michael Warwick.
