Barrow vs. Leigh RMI preview

Leigh RMI play their first away fixture of the new Blue Square North season on Tuesday evening when they make the trip north to face Barrow at Holker Street, a ground that hasn't exactly been a happy hunting ground for Leigh teams in the recent past.

With both of RMI's visits to Holker Street ending in two goal defeats since Leigh were relegated from the Conference in 2005, Barrow have an undefeated Conference North record against the Railwaymen that they will be looking to maintain on Tuesday evening, with Ryan McDowell's opener proving to not be enough to prevent a 3-1 defeat in last season's encounter.

After holding Hinckley United, defeated play-off finalists of last season, to a 2-2 draw at Hilton Park on Saturday, Leigh boss Stuart Humphreys is likely to keep faith in the squad that twice took the lead on Saturday in the Leigh sun.

Barrow, meanwhile, also got a draw on the opening day, although they looked to be getting all three points until they conceded a particularly late equaliser at Solihull Moors, the side formed from the merger between Moor Green and Solihull Borough.
