The road to Cardiff (or, cement price dependant, maybe Wemb-Leigh!) begins on Saturday afternoon when Woodley Sports visit Hilton Park in the Second Qualifying Round of the FA Cup. With last weekend's 2-0 victory at home to Alfreton lifting RMI two places to seventeenth spot in the Conference North, Stuart Humphreys' side are full of confidence as they make their first outing in the world's most famous knock-out competition so far this season, though they will have to be wary of opponents Woodley Sports, despite the two division gap between the sides in the football pyramid, with Woodley currently tenth in the Unibond League First Division.

Visiting Woodley, who have ex-RMI striker Daniel Douglas-Pringle in hot form in their side, recovered from a 3-2 defeat at Ossett Albion last weekend to hammer Colwyn Bay 4-0 on Tuesday night and will fancy their chances of an upset, especially after impressively disposing of Bishop Auckland 4-0 in the previous round.

Although RMI were knocked out at the third qualifying stage last season in a replay at fellow Conference North side Gainsborough, their FA Cup exploits certainly lit up what was an ultimately disappointing season, with a memorably exciting 3-1 victory at Northern League side Chester-le-Street in this same second qualifying round.
