After a short break from the Conference North following the postponement of last weekend's scheduled trip to Hinckley United in the aftermath of the tragic death of Hinckley defender Matt Gadsby, RMI return to action when Alfreton are visitors to Hilton Park on Saturday afternoon. RMI’s last outing ended in disappointment when Red Rose rivals Lancaster City stole the points at Hilton Park for the visitors’ first victory of the season, while Alfreton travel to Leigh full of confidence after their emphatic 3-0 home victory over Moor Green, with experienced striker Mark Rawle making his first start for Alfreton.

As his side look to get back on track and a couple of disappointing losses in recent weeks, RMI boss Stuart Humphreys is boosted with the signing of Liverpool-born former Wigan, Altrincham and Droylsden striker Carl Furlong, who joins the club from Welsh League side Caernarfon Town after resisting the overtures of Conference National side Southport during the summer, with Furlong set to make his debut alongside Chris Simm up front.

Young goalkeeper Danny Moreton is also set to make his full debut with James Mann unavailable through suspension following his sending off in the defeat to Lancaster, with Moreton making a fairly impressive first appearance as a substitute in that game.

After showing some good form earlier in the season, RMI will now be desperate to get back on form, especially in front of the Hilton Park faithful, with all vocal support more than appreciated for a Conference North game that kicks off at 3pm.
