Baggies Complete Signings Of Kanu and Gera

West Brom today completed a sensational double-swoop for former Arsenal striker Kanu and Hungarian international Zoltan Gera. Kanu and Gera both follow former Middlesbrough midfielder Johnathan Greening to the Hawthorns as the Baggies look to establish themselves as a succesfull Premiership club

West Brom today completed a sensational double-swoop for former Arsenal striker Kanu and Hungarian international Zoltan Gera.

 

Kanu has joined the Baggies on a free transfer after signing a 3-year-deal. Megson told Albion's Official Website: "We're obviously delighted Kanu has decided to join us

"I felt it was important we signed this type of player as I think it takes us forward not just one step but quite a few steps.

 

"And while he make a difference to us, it's important we don't just think this signing will transform us overnight, although it is a massive signing for West Brom"

 

As the ink was drying on Kanu's contract, Albion then confirmed the signing of Hungarian international midfielder Zoltan Gera, who also signed a three-year-deal after joining from Ferencvaros in a £1.5m deal.

 

Megson said of Gera: " Zoltan is an all-round midfielder who has an eye for getting forward. He's also quick, athletic and works hard."
