Ex Baggies star in shock return to the Hawthorns?

Newspapers in London are this evening reporting the possible shock return of Zoltan Gera to West Bromwich Albion.  The Fulham midfielder left the Hawthorns three years ago, and his contract is due to expire this summer.  Whilst the 32 year old has not ruled out extending his stay at Fulham, sources close to the player believe he may prefer a move away from The Cottage.

Gera has made 100 appearances for Fulham since moving from West Brom three years ago, but he is now expected to hook up with Baggies boss Roy Hodgson at the Hawthorns, the same manager who brought him to Fulham.

Fulham boss Mark Hughes is expected to hold talks with the midfielder in a last ditch attempt to keep him at the London club.

I'd be more than happy to see Gera return, what he did for us back in the day was a joy to be hold, I missed him went he went since we had no real cover for him, but although it will be hard for him to break into the first team at this current moment, i'll be glad to see him return to where he made it big! Bring Gera home Roy!

Good player it was sad he left in the first place, I wouldn't mind atal if he came back. Excellent play maker and consistant scorer

Never good to go back. He left a hero & should leave it like that rather than return & be a Failure. He isnt any younger & Fulham are a poor team but if they don't renew his contract there must be a reason

Its like Bully at Wolves, He is a hero but i would hate to see him return as a manager & screw it all up

I reckon Gera would be a good shot. hes a free agent and fans favorite and a decent player when having the right players around him!
