Baggiesworld Preview: West Brom v Sheff Utd

West Bromwich Albion entertain Sheffield United tomorrow as they look to narrow the 5 point gap with 2nd placed Nottingham Forest. With a reputation as a heated fixture over recent years, the Blades will come to the Hawthorns with their own agenda - a win tomorrow would see them just 3 points behind the Baggies, and the possibility of a jump from 6th to 4th in the Championship table.

Roberto Di Matteo will have to wait for late fitness tests on Roman Bednar and Graham Dorrans, who have missed training since Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town.  Dorrans carries a hip injury whilst Bednar struggles to overcome a bruised foot.

James Morrison remains an absentee for West Brom, but Abdoulaye Meite is available for selection after returning from international duty with the Ivory Coast, and new signing Marcus Haber is also available after receiving international clearance.

Sheffield United gaffer Kevin Blackwell looks set to give a full debut to recent signing Mark Yeates, but Andy Taylor and Marcel Seip will both miss out with groin and hamstring injuries respectively.  The Blades will also have to wait on Lee Williamson, who could be sidelined with a hamstring strain.

West Brom remain the divisions top scorers, despite a recent slump in form which has seen them drop out of the automatic promotion places.  But Sheffield United are unbeaten in their last three fixtures against the Baggies, with the Bramall Lane fixture earlier in the season ending in a 2-2 draw.
